بَعيداً عن الأشعار الوطنيّة، الأغنيات القَوميّة، الأبعاد الفلسفيّة، الماورائيّات الوجوديّة والرّوحانيّات الدّينيّة، الأرزة مجرَّد شجرة! حسناً أكثرھم عمرًا وأثخنهم جذعًا وأضخمهم حجمًا وأكرَمهم ذكراً في الكتاب المقدّس. ولكنّها في نهاية المطاف شجرة! لها رمزيّتها الوطنيّة؟! بالتّأكيد لها رمزيّتها الوطنيّة!! لها مكانتها القَوميّة؟! طبعاً لها مكانتها القَوميّة!! لها عظمتها الفلسفيّة؟! حتماً لها عظمتها الفلسفيّة!! لها قيمتها الوجوديّة؟! بِدون أدنى شَكّ لها قيمتها الوجوديّة!! لها قدسيّتها الدّينيّة؟! قطعاً لها قدسيّتها الدّينيّة!! ولكنّها تبقى شجرة! تُقطَع أو تُحرَق فتَزول، وتستمر الحياة!! ولكن ماذا عن الإنسان؟! إن زال الإنسان تستمر الحياة؟!...

مِن ھُنا يوضَح لنا ما حقًّا يَرمز للبقاء. مِن ھُنا يَظهر لنا ما فعليًّا يُرادف الخلود. بالتّالي نُدرِك ما علينا أخذه شعار لنا للبقاء والخلود، فنحميه ونصونه، فنستمر مِن عهود فعهود، نستمر متنمِّيين، متحضِّرين، متطوِّرين ومتقدِّمين...

الإنسان ثمّ الإنسان ثمّ الإنسان!

The founder and CEO of the CEDRIDO movement, "Rasha Gemayel", wrote:

Away from patriotic poetry, national songs, philosophical dimensions, metaphysical existentialism, and religious spirituality—the cedar tree is just a tree! Yes, the oldest among them, the thickest in trunk, the largest in size, and the most honored in the Holy Book. But at the end of the day, it is still a tree!

Does it have national symbolism? Certainly, it does!
Does it hold a national significance? Of course, it does!
Does it possess philosophical greatness? Absolutely, it does!
Does it carry existential value? Without a doubt, it does!
Does it have religious sanctity? Definitely, it does!

But still, it remains a tree! If it is cut down or burned, it disappears, and life goes on!

But what about the human being? If the human being ceases to exist, does life go on?!

From here, it becomes clear what truly represents permanence.
From here, we realize what genuinely equates to immortality.
Thus, we understand what we must take as our emblem for continuity and eternity, protecting and preserving it—so that we may endure, era after era, growing, evolving, advancing, and progressing…

The human being, then the human being, then the human being!
